Sentenced is a newly emerging clothing line, which promotes its collection as timeless and conscious of sustainability in the industry. Prior to its release, design directors (and owners) Lucy Graham and Georgia Andrew Wilkinson invited me to preview their first autumn/winter collection Electric Dreams and here is what I found…

One element of the collection that interested me immediately was the fact that the items are genuinely sustainable, something that is clearly innovative and original given society’s view on the environment today. Many of the items consist of 100% recyclable material, which is a rarity in a world overflowing with fast fashion. Sentenced delivers ‘forever clothing’ in that the items are of the highest quality and are classic pieces with a contemporary twist. Personally, I love every item from the Electric Dreams collection, but in particular, the Sasha and Stevie tracksuit - which is leopard print with green and white stripes - along with the Missy and Milo charcoal tracksuit, both 100% organic cotton, drew my eye because they encompass a comfortable vibe, whilst still maintaining that haute couture feel.

The Lucia top with the matching Lennie leggings are equally as unique and intriguing, as is the Dallas and Dakota tracksuit which has an elegant lace panel. The Desmond black mini dress may appear uncomplicated, yet the racer back design incorporates the ageless style and fits in well with the rest of the line. Alongside this, two final pieces which undeniably project authenticity are the Bibi hoodie and the Blair mini dress, both produced with 100% silk. For me, this ensemble is without doubt the main feature of this collection, with such individuality and ambience. The names of each item are notable and cleverly arranged with the use of alliteration which adds to the brand’s originality.

After being able to experience, first hand, the quality of the Electric Dreams collection and seeing how each individual piece plays a role in the line, I think it’s safe to say that these entrepreneurs and their unique and exquisite designs will no doubt succeed in being recognised as an avant-garde contribution to the world of fashion.
